Fantastic job! I especially liked having the characters split up to solve puzzles. A map feature would be nice too especially if you expand the game and make it even more of a MetroidVania (backtracking when you get new abilities). Still, I loved it and managed to get the trophy. If you continue with it, consider a Mac version please. :)

Thank you, happy to hear you loved it!

Super cool demo! I love the little dino guy, and the gameplay is super smooth and enjoyable! Great game!

Thanks, glad you had some fun!

im lost what does the magic saddle help for

Use the magic saddle to teleport to the dino... use it to bypass the electric fence by jumping off the dino onto the platform over the fence, call the dino passed the electricity, then teleport to it.

well i did make it to the part where I got the grappling hook.
but not sure how to advance.
sure tall room, have to leave dino at the bottom, grapple my way up, can only go into room top left.
in there a grappling hook and indestructible vines blocking some room exit at the bottom.

Is this the current end?
Or did I miss soemthing along the way?

nevermind got it.
apparently jumping (not kickflip but standardnjump) does stuff when graplled.
so fa except looking cooler and the way to exit the dino, I considered jump and kickflip basically the same.

Thanks for your feedback! I'm working on a small patch to include some extra tips/instructions.

Good concept, I love this platformer!

Just a bit pity that ArrowKeys pattern don't support a full control.

I can only use [WASD] and [JKL]

If [ZXC] could be used, then it might be better!

Hi, I could add this functionality. I don't play with these controls to know what folks think is the standard. What do you think each key should do? Also, the i-key is used to aim, where would you put that, on shift?

Putting it on the shift key makes sense!

Thanks for your feedback! Arrow keys should work, are they not working for you?

They works as well, like the other says, you can't shoot fire balls with [ZXC] or any other keys the left hands could touch.

The controls are very smooth!

Thanks!

I'm at the part with the gold cage. What do I do?

EDIT: Never mind, I needed to press the jump button and down/s at the same time.

Got stuck there too. It would be nice to have some in-game indication on what to do, like text or a 🔽 + space picture in the wall. Same goes for the one part where you needed to jump while grappling.

I thought I needed to press the flip button again!

Sorry I didnt do enough to explain certain mechanics and smooth out the rough edges. Hopefully yall still had some fun.

Thank you, I did! I figured them both out myself, though.

Maybe you could add those instructions in-game?

Thanks! I'm working on a little patch to add a couple tips like this.

Amazing demo!!! I loved all the Metroid references. The grappling mechanic is a little hard at the first time, but a few tries and you get the hang of it. This demo needs a full game, do it, please!! :D

Thank you!

Hi, I need an advice. I got the grapler but can't seem to find where to go. I was able to get up the grapling points to the upper left corner where is a room with grey vines and grapling point, but there seems to be no way to continue. Is there a way to graple with the dinosaur? What am I missing?

Hello, try using the jump button while grappled. You can shoot through the gray vines.

Thanks, I was using only flip jump when grapling and didn't realize there's other option.

If you press jump while grappling, it will launches you😅

That is pretty great demo, that is so good :) Thanks for sharing the demo, looking forward for the full game :)

You should put this demo on newgrounds :) I am sure a lot of people will love it :)
