Made over the weekend of 5/14 & 5/15 for Mini Jam 106: Frogs with a limitation of "Limited Time Only". This was an extremely spontaneous project. I spent a lot of time on it, but I'd say it was a healthy jam for me ;)

KNOWN BUGS: Game can sometimes end for no apparent reason, sorry :( There's also a weird audio distortion bug in the web version.

Cool game, it reminds me of Magical Drop, except you can't pick up multiple blocks of the same color. That would be a cool feature to add.

Thanks!

I've actually never seen Magical Drop till you mentioned it, very cool game. I was actually very inspired by the Bust a Move games on N64, which look to be a variation or sequel of Magical Drop! I also figured these mechanics were so simple that someone somewhere must have done exactly this (Critter Crunch).

Sometimes I think my ideas are super original, only to find out some SNES game had the same idea lol

EDIT: I suppose it's possible I've seen Magical Drop at some point and don't totally remember... *shrug* lol

amazing game and concept

Thanks! :)

Fantastic game!  Really enjoyed it!  Feels really polished for a jam game.  I like the fact that you can drop blocks into the void too.  The level feels a bit too wide to trek across and keep track of, but otherwise great job!

Thanks for your feedback! I considered making the play area smaller; I found myself losing to my own game simply because I would tunnel vision one side of the screen, I thought it was fun to find out I neglected a side and needed to scramble to clean up. I don't know, sometimes there's no right decision and it comes down how the designer feels. I think I wanna try to allow the player to loop across the screen old-school like and maybe that will help too.

fun concept and i really like the graphics! i think an indicator as to which column youre about to hit would be nice.

Thanks! I thought about the indicator too, ill have to play with it post jam!
